I'm on the hunt for a 2 bedroom apartment that allows a 40lb dog and cats in a 25 mile radius of Bridgewater, NJ at no more than $1400 a month. Any and all suggestions welcome!

Good luck with that, most apts don't allow any pets yet alone a 40lb dog and cats. You will also be hard pressed to be within a 25 mile radius of Bridgewater at 1400 a month for a 2 bedroom. Try Craigs list where private owners list.

Good luck in your search and let us know if you were successful.

I think the Avalon apartments allow pets but I'm not sure how many and that is definitely not the price range for a 2 br

Good luck!

Good luck!
Avalon in Lawrenceville allows dogs, there might be a fee. They have a dog run and plenty of outdoor space, although the new Costco causes a lot of traffic. A 2BR is higher than $1400.

There are a lot of breed restrictions. Most places that have size restrictions are 50 lbs or less so you are probably good there. I've always found it nearly impossible to find any apartments that allowed more than 2 pets in NJ though. I agree that you'd have more luck renting from a person rather than a rental company. You might be able to find a rental in the Hills which is a big condo complex by Pluckemin A lot of people buy them and then rent them out. I don't know if the Hills itself has any pet limit but I know they allow pets because I see people walking dogs there. IMO the rooms are tiny but you might be able to rent for that amount before utilities. If you want to include utilities in the 1400 it's nearly impossible even without pets.

If your dog has training it never hurts to mention that to a prospective landlord as well.
