I'm not even sure why this is controversial to some people. People broke the law. They got caught. They are paying the price.

I would think this is something we would all get behind.

An occasional raid is not a problem.

But would you support regular, routine ICE raids in the restaurant you frequent perhaps while you are there? Your landscaper being taken away, you contractor missing worker and delaying projects? Would you like your children see people being led away in handcuffs, perhaps violently?

We need a comprehensive immigration reform that will remove incentives for illegal immigration and encourage legal immigration. I guess similar effects might be reached by regular raids that happen multiple time every day. But for that you would need ICE to become ten time bigger. And you would not want to live in a place like that...

Can you say 'fraud'?

Do you think voting is somehow the only program or activity in which there is no fraud? Is voting overseen by a divine being and all who enter are chaste or holy?

Voter fraud threshold has been set very high and a remnant of the old days when voter fraud was inconsequentil.

Dead people vote! how do you think dead people vote?

Pet dogs have voted and even served with notice to jury duty.

Snowbirds vote twice, how is that possible?

Someone who voted democrat 6 times in one election finally broke through the current voter fraud threshold to serve several years in jail.

Illegal immigrants have admitted voting in elections.

Question is how much illegal voting takes place

If you don't look you won't find. plenty of evidence of voter fraud that has not been inventoried until now.

You worry about Russia interferring and care less about domestic voter fraud??????????

Logic and human nature demand that voter fraud exists, moreso, given the conservative estimate of 12 million plus illegals, baiting of illegals to cross the border and id documents handed out that allows voting fraud and unethical democrat campaign behavior, you'd better believe large scale voter fraud exists. The extent more significant in smaller elections..

It is insane to charaterize any group as being all good or all bad. Liberal minds see issues only in terms of absolutes. So take one holy and honest illegal alien, baited across the border, and then declare evry illegal alien comes with a golden halo. Any objection to that prejudiced view of absolutism is now the enemy, a xenophobe, racist and is without empathy. No wonder success of liberal 'solutions' are always measured by process instead of outcome.

It's only the bad hombres.

Except when it's not. Taxpaying restaurant owners, for example, who have been working with ICE for 16 years.

Or community members that the mayor and police chief have spoken up for:

A society that asks that everyone "show me your papers" is something that we should all be fearing.

But that's not what happened here. These were all criminals, 87% of them were felons.

If that is true then I have no issue with it.

I would say your kids are pretty soft, if you are worried about them seeing someone who broke the law, being taken away.

I'd be OK with it. it would be a temporary inconvenience to fix a longstanding problem. I agree with you about taking away the incentives for illegal immigration. That should be the cornerstone of any immigration plan.

Obama was doing the same thing trump was, except giving them a trial date and hoping they would show up.
