Ok, so here is my deal, I was just offered a position with the Company I work for in NY that I would be a fool if I past up.

A majority of the work will be in PA but the office is in Edison.

My 1st question would be do I look in NJ or PA for housing?

My 2nd question would be if I moved to NJ what part would I look in. I have 4 children ages 4 - 14 and schooling is a very big part of this relocation.

Any suggestions on where in NJ is a good place to live with outstanding schools that are not to far from PA?

Thank you

Good Luck to you in NJ cause with our property taxes being through the roof your going to need it...and as far as schools go, log onto www.greatschools.net it gives u the test scores and any other info that u need....also depends on how often u will working in edison and what part of PA would u have to commute to...you have somerset county, middlesex county which would be the closest...

Edison is a bit far from PA for commuting, IMO. Your drive would be well over an hour, and that is if you lived on the very edge of PA. Your commute could end up being 2 hours.
When I lived in Brick, I had a friend that commuted to Edison. It's less than an hour, straight up the parkway. Brick has good schools and is very safe. It's at the very northmost section of Ocean County. You may also want to check out Monmouth and Middlesex Counties; they are more expensive though. In general, NJ has very good schools overall so unless you are looking in a high-crime area, your kids should end up getting good schooling.
