Hello everyone.

I am looking to meet up with a friend next week on Monday, July 3rd, leave 1 car parked somewhere safe, somewhere off of Route 78 and west of Route 287, and then drive together in the other car to Rochester, NY for the day, returning early morning July 4.

Does anyone have a recommendation, like a big hotel parking lot, 24 hour restaurant, a Park and Ride that accepts anybody without a local permit, or something that I haven't thought of?

This can be a place virtually anywhere between Rt 287 and the Delaware River, along Route 78, as long as it's safe and won't get towed.

Thanks,

Steve

There is a parking place at the Whitehouse exit/rt 523 off 78E. Can get off on the 523/oldwick going west on 78, same place. go back under 78 and the lot on on your immediate right.

Looks like a commuter parking lot, just a side road sort of. Nothing else around. always see cars parked there.

Have no idea if you need to get permission to use it. Not gated

Exit before, rattlesnake bridge rd, west on 78. off exit left at light, go about 2 or 3 miles just across the river and somerset county colleg entrance on the left. Big parking lot. No clue if legal to park there overnight.

stay on rattlesnake bridge road to light at rt 28, make a left and right at next light and park in shop-rite parking lot.

There is a Walmart on the south side of I78 at Clinton that should work for you. There are park and rides for the Transbridge buses but not sure if you need a permit to park there.
