there are more popular celebrity types in alpine, if living with people like that turns you on alpine is better, alpine is also closer to NYC.

My vote goes to Saddle River. More "old money" there.

Agreed and personally I do not see it being worth it.

one size does not fit all!
My house in NJ is in a very economically diverse town, everything from trailer parks to multi million dollar homes and I like the area, but sometimes dealing with the people at the lower end can be tedious.
I also live in FLA in a very affluent area and the area is well kept almost free of crime and has great schools, you won't find this in less affluent areas.
you pay for what you get.
while you will find that people can be jerks regardless of their level of affluence the jerks are easier to deal with in more affluent places.
to illustrate my point, I'd rather live in saddle river over paramus, of course we can't all afford saddle river and that is part of it's appeal

There are many homes in these towns that have no furniture. There are many homeowners that live off credit. Don't be fooled...

I don't get these Alpine v SR threads. Unless you play for the Knicks or are a CEO, you're not going to live there. It's like asking "do rich people live by the beach in Malibu?"
