Anyone drive for Uber/Lyft on way home from work?

A few months ago, our Uber driver told us they had added a method for drivers to only select fares that were headed in their direction. He told us that he would use it at the end of his day when he was heading home and if someone was more or less along his route, he would pick up on final fare. Perhaps look into that?

Yes, Uber allow you to set your final destination after being on for a while/doing trips "last" trip of the night,

My BIL does Uber more or less he told me you have be online for at least 3hrs, and/or do X trips, When you click final destination, its your "Last" fare for next 3 or 4 hours. It will not let you log back in until the 3/4 hour clock runs out.

Nice. I briefly drove for Uber/Lyft about 2 yrs ago and very quickly decided it wasn't for me. Destination mode wasn't a thing then.
