We are moving from UK to USA in September. We have a family in Wayne, and initially we are going to stay with them. I was wondering if you could help me with the following questions?
1- How is weather in NJ?
2- How can I meet new people in Wayne, NJ? What sort of social life is routine?
3- How is the nightlife?
4- How is the job market?
5- Do you have any pictures you may want to upload?
1. weather is about 20 degrees F-40 degress F in winter, and there can be a difference of 20 degrees between the coldest part of night and the warmest part of afternoon. check out weather.com in summer it gets to about 85-90. if there is a heat wave it can get to close to 100. usually its humid in summer. autumn and spring are very short.
2. new people, maybe if you will be working you can meet some new people. the routine life is work, home and shopping.
3. nightlife? not much in Wayne, but only 30 minutes to NYC or some clubs in NJ. also there are a couple of movie theaters and a couple of malls in town. also many restaurants.
4. job market depends on type of job.

Be prepared for "culture shock". My better half is British - Scottish and it's a much different lifestyle here than in the UK. bar hoping isn't the done thing as the bars are within "driving" distance not "walking" distance. The weather is the plus in the summer time. This month, it's "pissin doon". You'll love shopping as it is dollar to pound at the moment. If you pay 30 pounds for something in the UK, it's 30 dollars here - nearly half the price. Overall though, I think you will love it. And like someone said, NYC is just a short trip from Wayne and there's plenty to do there.
