I have a potential job offer in the Princeton area and I would be moving from Boston. I’ve been looking at different areas to potentially live and was wondering if it’s possible to commute from the Woodbridge area to Princeton without hating myself. The Woodbridge area seems like a pretty busy area that is very accessible to Newark and NYC should I want to get into the city quickly. Although it says it takes about an hour is that a doable “reverse” commute or I’m I just crazy?
I live in Woodbridge ( have lived here for 18 years) and worked in the Princeton area not long ago. It is a very easy commute. While everyone is going up on the Turnpike, you'll be heading south and vice versa on the way home. I'd say that Woodbridge is a very strategic place to live and affordable considering you have two train stations and easy access to every major road in the State.
Its not that crazy of a commute,,, I like to avoid tolls a bit so I might try US1 for most of it,,,depends on overall locations, etc.
US 1 can be tough at rush hour. Even southbound.
