what can anyone tell me about Ramsey? We are househunting in Bergen County and not very familiar with the area. I did hear that they have had a problem with Hasidic Jews trying to push people out of their homes and wondering if there is any truth to this.

They will tell you the same thing about Hasidic Jews in most of northern Bergen county right now. Whole area is on edge. It has not happened anywhere across the border in NJ yet but potentially could.

The Hasidics are based in Monsey NY, which is not that far over the NY border and the speculation is they are trying to “expand the territory”.

I haven't heard anything about Hasidics trying to buy up property in Ramsey. I think the towns adjacent to Rockland County New York will be the ones who see that

Exactly how would an Hasidic Jew push you out of your house? The Hasidic Jews are playing a long game. All they are trying to do is instill fear in people, who in 2017, sadly freak out over the slightest gossip, Facebook post, or internet page. They hope that this fear suppresses demand for housing, which lowers prices, which creates cheaper entry points, which leads to minorities coming in, which leads to white flight, which leads to the Hasidic Jews coming in.

The truth is that I do not think there are any Hasidic Jews living in Rockland/Bergen County outside the East Ramapo School District in Rockland. There is still a lot of room for them to grow within this school district. They are not going anywhere else, and indeed can't afford to go anywhere else, for many many years, if at all.

Ramsay is a good place to live and will continue to be so. If you like it, than move there. No one, Hasidic or not, is going to "push you out of your house".

Yes, they LITERALLY push people out of their homes, and I have been reliably informed that they will utilize bulldozers and explosives in order to push you out of your home!
Don't open your door, lest these people push you out of your domicile!
Run!
Hide!
Furthermore, you should stockpile weapons against these predations from a group of people who are historically dangerous.
You have little to fear from urban gangs or right-wing nationalist groups in comparison to these people!

Don't let their benign appearance fool you. They are an extremely violent group of people, who might smite you with Torah scrolls...when they are not praying.
