After commuting for years on NJ Transit buses, it feels like the buses' have the worst ride quality possible. Every bump feels like an earthquake and it feels like I'm riding in a tin can. Do they even maintain their shocks and other suspension components?

I'd say they're just as good as any other buses that travel the roads of the Northeast.

They aren't great, but I find they are much better than the rockland coach buses!

I've rode in charter buses and the ride quality was like night and day. That doesn't even take into consideration the numerous damaged seats I've found on NJ Transit buses. Seems like years of underfunding/incompetence caused this.

Probably its the roads and not the buses. My bus ride has been very smooth whenever I have taken it. How are the roads in the areas where you live? Or do you usually get to sit around the last row ?

I agree. The NJT buses are much worse than NYC express buses that I have used. The are older and have less leg room. And I agree that they feel bumpier than NYC buses. Just another area where NJ underinvested in the infrastructure.

So did you submit a comment to NJ transit to have the seat fixed or just complain about it on the internet?

My only complaint is the standing room is terrible. For a bus that looks quite large on the outside it's not that spacious inside.

Why does NJ have such whiny residents?
