We are moving into a one bedroom apt in JC, and will obviously be needing storage.

I've found a uhaul in Elizabeth with reasonable rates, and I am wondering if it's because of it being in a bad neighborhood or should I worry about it being broken into?

Thanks!

The only uhual I know of in Elizabeth is right on the boarder of Newark behind Twin City supermarket off Frelinghuysen. Its not a "bad" neighborhood. The entire property is fenced in and the only way to get into the storage area is through the uhual store I believe so you should be fine. Just get a very good lock.

My sister uses the Lackland Self Storage near NJTPK exit 13 and she has never had a problem. Allen street I think. Its very clean. 5x10 is something like $40 month.

You always take a chance no matter what storage place you use because they are seldomly paid alot of attention to . Unless the property uses surveilance cameras there is no way to know if someone is breaking into someone elses storage area.
