My neighbor had a gender reveal party in their back yard and at some point something must have been popped, because there are thousands of pieces of foil confetti all over their and my backyard.

1. Does anyone know a good way to pick this stuff up? It’s about 1-2” long and metallic foil.
2. Would you say anything to the neighbor? I probably won’t because the boyfriend is a police officer but this is the first time they have really annoyed me (though their dog is starting to destroy our fence).

Thoughts?

Thanks

I think it perfectly appropriate to ask them to clean it up. Foil is not going to just go away..

Yes, I think you could say something to the neighbor couched in a friendly way.

Go over and say, "Hey, I was wondering if you guys know a good way to get this stuff up. I was trying to figure out an easy way to get it cleaned up because it's not good for the birds and critters and the environment overall."

That is not divisive and puts it in the framework of you being in this together for a common good. Worth a shot, anyway.

Ugh. Gender reveal parties. And it had to be a messy one. They couldn't just cut into a blue or pink cake or something?

The bigger, the better, right?

If you have a lawnmower with a bag that might help suck up most of it. That's how I tend to vacuum leaves off my lawn.

I’d buy a box of Russel Stover truffles and throw a little filling reveal celebration each time I bite into one, complete with tossing tons of confetti back into their yard each time. I’d stick an invitation into their mailbox an hour or two ahead of time to be neighborly.
