The best pizzeria in each of N.J.'s 21 counties | NJ.com

The only one I've ever been to is Patsy's in Paterson. Was last there 20 years ago. Such good food.

Last time there I was married and my now-20-something daughter was a little girl. We saw the staff setting up seating for a large group in the middle of the room, and a few minutes later in walked about eight nuns in full habit. They sat down and ordered and starting knocking back copious amounts of red wine. Made me want to take holy orders.

Is Cresskill Pizza in Cresskill. They have the baco-potato pie.

And not via a waitress pad I assume? You crack me up MQ.

But I'd be more interested in a list of the worst pizza in NJ. I'm pretty sure it would consist of nothing but Pizza Huts and Dominoes. The rest of the state does it right.

Middlesex County 15th for overall dining quality?

Especially when they've lived there for 20 years. I mean, it's certainly not #1, but below Gloucester and Hunterdon County?

That's a joke. The ethnic dining options in Middlesex are amongst the best in the state. Even if you only included American restaurants, it still would not IMO be below Gloucester County.

Finally glad to see that they removed Pete & Elda's and Vic's from the Monmouth County top spot. Having grown up in Hudson County, I personnally feel these are some of worse pies in NJ. Anyone who recommends these place to me, I never take their recommendations on food.

Ha, I'd make a lousy waitress. Would drop everything and not be able to remember who ordered what. Then again, the convent life wouldn't be for me, either.

Thanks. I live in Monmouth County and have never tried either. I have a place called Mangia in Shrewsbury that's pretty good, plus a dive called Guido's in Eatontown that looks as if it was last redecorated in 1965 . They have a good pie.

These "best of" lists are always so ridiculous, especially when it comes to something as arbitrary as food. You could hand this survey out to 100 people and come back with 100 different results.
