I like to bet on the games that are being televised to make it interesting to watch them if they are teams I otherwise couldn't care less about.
My ex-husband was a football gambler. Once he lost $20,000 in one season. I don't think he ever bet less than $100 ("20 times") on a game. I would know the spreads, the over/under on all the bets he had so that I could keep an eye on the scores on Sunday and know how we were doing and if the rent was going to the bookie or not. My engagement ring went to the pawn shop and I never got it back because we had to pay somebody who was calling and threatening to shoot the dog or whatever if he didn't pay what he owed.

I got rid of him in 1999, and I could not stand the sound of a football game on TV for a long, long time. It was like PTSD. I'd feel as if I was having an anxiety attack from the sound of football.

In 2019, I finally watched a Superbowl for the first time in 20 years. I actually enjoyed it, and I watched again this year. Some people watch football just to watch the game! Who knew?

I prefer sports betting over casino games. Money goes too fast in casino games. And if you win big early on you always end up giving a little back because you get bored just watching everyone else play.

Sports betting is much more exciting. My favorite is betting after the game has already started, you get some crazy good odds that way. I won something like $600 on a $50 bet in the World Series because I bet on the Nationals in the 9th inning even though they were down.

Wow that’s messed up! It must have been so frustrating and scary, glad you got away and can enjoy football again!

That sounds fun! I might try that, but it will be way less than $50. Sometimes I bet $3.00 lol.
