Hi Everyone,

Just relocated to the Princeton area. My wife and I are looking to get into NYC for the day. A co worker mentioned taking the NJ Transit train from the Princeton Junction train station to Penn in NYC. Is this the easiest way to get in and out? Do we have to transfer to any other train, or are we on the same train the whole time? Also, and more importantly, is it a safe train line? I know it makes multiple stops before getting to Penn. just want to know what to expect! Thanks everyone!

If you are in Princeton take the Dinky to Princeton Jct. If you are in WW you can park at the Wallace Rd lot after 7PM on Fri to Sun at 11AM for free.

Buy your ticket to Penn NYC at the kiosk or in the small station. It is one train ride and but makes multiple stops. Do not get off at Penn Station in Newark.

The train is very safe and less stressful than driving. Your first time is pretty intimidating but do it once and you are a pro!
