I moved from that area in Sept.this yr,The area is nice ,South toms river isn't the greatest to be truthful.Did you go on realtor.com for some houses in the area,I think I saw a house in Beachwood for 199,000.I am not sure how big it is or such. Those towns are very near water too, just in case you weren/t familar, and Toms River has job oppurtunities.I hope that helps alittle.I lived there for 7 yrs ,so if you need any questions maybe I can help ....at least alittle

I went on Realtor.com,I did see some houses under 200,ooo.I put in Beachwwod and did advanced search for nearby areas.I did see one in Beachwood, where I came from for 165,000.4bdr.1192 sq ft.I don't know what your family situation is,and the property may be small, but is is a decent town. just my opionion, I wouldn't reccomend South Toms River, and check, some homes maybe in a senior village.I hoped I helped alittle

I actually have a friend (whom was also my hubbys boss)live there, it is a qiet town, never heard of any real bad things about it. I truthfully only would NOT move to Lakewood nj or South Toms River. If I would ever move back to Jersey, I would head right to Ocean county.

Lakehurst is a quiet little town but not much to offer. I agree avoid STR-Beachwood is nice, close to everything, even Pkwy.

You are right about Beachwood being nice,it is close to Toms River, which has the mall ,great #of stores, food places and Beachwood has a nice little beach and boat basin, very quuiet.
This is making me homesick
