I lived in Atlantic City for 6 months and it was nothing like these other people are describing. Homeless people are like any other people, some may have made the wrong life choices or they can't help being homeless. They don't go around looking to kill or Rob people like these ignorant people say they do. It's actually nice to live and work in Atlantic City if your not RACIST and you don't go looking for trouble. If you want to live in a city where you can get killed or robbed try Scranton Pa.

Depends. If you stay by tourist areas and near the boardwalk you should be good. They have heavy surveillance on the boardwalk cameras now. Most of the shootings and murders is gang related. U never know though. Id suggest you stay by those areas just to be safe if you do. A block away and your at the "hoods". It is a cool place to live though. Ventnor is not any better. 16 yr old boy just killed an old man there few days ago and stole his car for no reason. They also have a new thing called a crimemap now that updates on most situations and where it happend.
A bit off topic, but similar, are there ANY towns on the New Jersey coast with reasonable rents and relatively low crime rates?
