If I got one of those and didn't have an account I would probably find a relative or friend to process it through theirs.

They would have to reg or add your vehicle to their account, they could take it off later.

If caught, good for as much as 30 days in jail.

I have ez pass with automatic replenishment. I was having a problem with the scanners not being able to read my pass. So I was charged an additional fee several times and had to call them to get the additional fee removed.

I have a low small convertible sport car.

I eventually found that I have to press my ez pass up against the windshield for it to read every time rather than some of the time. A replacement pass had the same problem. Fortunately I drive less than 5,000 miles per year and much of that not on toll roads, so I just live with it.

You could get one of the ones that is a license plate frame for the front.

They have EZ-pass transponders that are license plate frames?

I wouldn't recommend it.. some of these NJ towns write tickets for the frames the vehicles come off the dealership lot with. "Barely Obstructed Plate." Whether it covers part of the word "New Jersey" or not...

As to the EZ-pass fine, it will be $100 per time you do that. Had my plate stolen, that's how I know.

Would have to be a receptive relative, not one that hates you. Your friends are your worst enemies sometime.

In my case.. it was "Option D - Stolen Plate - Attach Police Report."
