Does anyone know the specifications for the space between the PSEG gas line outside and the one from your house, for the meter to fit between? They replaced all the outside gas lines on my street and moved my meter location from inside to outside. I really don't want to call a plumber to do this incredibly easy job and I have the permit for the air test since I am the home owner.
Not one post on this thread expresses any concern about what exactly the company is planning to install. Inform yourself about the effects of smart meter radiation : https://patch.com/new-jersey/ramsey-nj/dangers-smart-meters-0
I recently had this done in PA. The installer said the lithium batteries are good for 10 years. The new transponder is also more powerful than the old one (which was also remote read). They also do a “safety check” which I suspect is mainly just to check for tampering.
