I ordered group lunch today for some coworkers and one of them hasn't paid me for it. Just wondering if I should ask for the money - it's about $8-9.
Would you ask for it and how does one do it tactfully?
Here's how I would handle it...go up to them and say "hey, I said I would go for lunch but I don't recall saying I was buying lunch today"...and put a smile on your face with your hand extended it their direction : ) Do it now otherwise it will be expected later.

Well I paid for the delivery and bring back the food from the lobby. Not everyone pays when they get their lunch. Some eat first and forget all about it afterwards. :P
Lesson learned here is NOT to volunteer to pay first.
We collect first and we figure in the sales tax of 7% and tip for delivery person before we place the order cause some see $6.95 for the lunch special and forget about tax & tip
Only problem and every office has one there is always ONE that tries to skate out...sorry but $9 for someone else's lunch I didn't offer to pay is a big deal
I totally understand. I used to have a friend that used to do this all the time! I think she still owes me about $20.
I just hope this doesn't happen during the Lunch date thingy at Havana's coming UP
Just remember for large parties the gratuity is usually added in...but if you get excellent service you can always throw your server a few bucks more..
