Apartment Dwellers: How Much is Your Water Bill on Average? (apartments, tenant)

Hi everyone,

I’m in the process of apartment hunting and a lot of the places that I’ve looked at states that water is tenant’s responsibility which I’m new to, my past apartments covered that expense so I have no clue what the avg water bill is. There’s a washer and dryer in the unit that I’d use weekly if that helps.

I'd say $25 per person, per month.

If you're paying a water bill, you're likely also going to pay a small sewer bill. I'd say $10 per quarter, per person.

Ok great, so is a water bill paid monthly or quarterly?

Depends on who is the provider -- if it's Suez, billing is monthly.

Plan for monthly and you'll just save onto it if it's not.
