Does anyone have any information on the new parking garage being built by the hackensack hospital? I'm looking at condo's in that area and just found this info:

Growing Too Big? - Health - redOrbit

“Corinne Engle, who has volunteered at the hospital, lives at the Executive House on Beech Street and opposes the garage. If the project is approved as planned, the garage would be next door to the in-ground pool at her condominium complex. The thought of seeing a brick garage from her eighth-story balcony makes her uneasy.”

Hackensack University Medical Center prevails - Hackensack Chronicle (http://www.hackensackchronicle.com/NC/0/124.html - broken link)

"On Feb. 19, a week before the auction, the borough introduced an ordinance to amend the zoning regulations in the “H” zone (hospital zone) to allow a medical school to operate in conjunction with a hospital. The ordinance would also allow for multi-level parking garages, a pharmacy, and a childcare center on site. The ordinance will be up for public hearing and adoption on April 22. "

Does anyone know anything?

I haven't been in that area in a while but I can tell you it's a very high stress congested area. Lots of traffic. If that environment is something you wouldn't mind then Hackensack is probably for you.

Well, the area I've looked at is not that bad.. the side streets where the condo would be. My concern is that the parking garage seems to be planned for adjacently to a condo I'm considering. I can't seem to get any specific info on it though.
