Wrong in many ways to say that. Radar is subject to reflections and reading a faster vehicle not yours. However NJ has made a regular business out of taking drivers to the cleaners, they offer deals all day long and it doesn't have anything to do with the details of driving.

I have paid for overspeeding earlier, when it was a mistake.

No it hasn't ,if you're going to argue the finer points of a radar gun you better get a lawyer so be prepared to pay through the nose... Again just pay the fine.
