Edison is also expensive because most people willing to live there are looking to buy, so there are fewer landlords and therefore, less supply and more demand. So good schools and most housing is for sale.

Default What about Ironbound in Newark?

The Ironbound neighborhood of Newark is a good section. I live here and I feel safe. I can also link you to a person who is renting out the 2nd unit of their 2-family home, if you're interested. It's about 15min walk to the Newark Penn Station. Street Parking is a bit limited though.
