The loud annoying sounds of lawnmowers and leafblowers just started today, March 19. There's hardly any grass yet.

It's called spring cleanups which are usually required before the grass starts growing, hence the blowers. Mowers are used to suck up the leaves, not cut the grass at this point.

I look at it sometimes out my window since I work across the street from a small park. But I'm unaware of the concept in JC also.

Move to Maplewood. Leaf blowers are banned there.

Burn all the trees down and pour bleach on everyone's lawn.

I'll take the occasional mower/blower noise over the sounds of car horns, sirens, train whistles and loud, overly bass music blasting from cars regardless of the time of day.

If anyone's in the market for a leaf blower I heartily recommend the Red Max brand. My 62cc backpack model is about 20 y/o and still going strong with no issues ever. Just routine maintenance.
