Hello,

I am exploring the idea of moving to North Edison and had a few questions related to commute to NYC. I searched for this and could not find a recent answer to this. Apologies if this has been answered already.

If we live in North Edison can we get a monthly pass at Metropark Station? Or do we count as non-residents?

How easy is it to get daily parking spots if you reach there around 7:15 - 7:30 AM?

How bad is the drive from North Edison to Metropark in the morning (around 7 AM)?

Thanks

You would get the monthly pass in 2- 3 months depending on availability. Its a private owned lot, so I dont think there are any resident savings in parking.
You would get parking easily if you arrive bythen. After 8AM, you would probably get it in the overflow lot. You would have no problem in getting parking.

Probably about 20 min

The Parking deck by Metropark train station is owned by NJ Transit and its 90$/ month for monthly or 5$/day for daily parking . There is a wait for the monthly pass and takes a few months . Please note this is not a reserved spot (available for additional $) and its first come first serve so you could use daily's till you can get the monthly pass. there are days when the lot gets full by 9 am so arrive early. Also please add 10-15 more mins to your commute time as getting in and out of the deck during rush hour is a slow going.
