Because there are twenty different countries that speak Spanish.

And not all Hispanics are brown or the same race.

And since Hispanics are about 20 percent of the country's population, or at least that of the state. It is good to know at least some basic differences, like Puerto Ricans are automatic U.S. citizens, while Mexicans aren't.

I doubt there are too many Canadian French or Saudi Arabians in this state, however.

I love Pio Pio which is a Peruvian chain in NYC. I have been looking for good Peruvian restaurants in northern NJ. will definintely have to check out this area. Thanks!

Kikiriki is a NJ chain with a couple locations closer than Paterson. Unless you just want to explore Paterson. Then definitely explore all the other options.

Pio Pio is excellent.

In NJ, El Chevere in Passaic makes really good food. They used to have one by me on Bergenline Ave In North Bergen, but sadly it closed down.
