It is an app where you are a community with your neighbors and there's all sorts of resources like that.
Yeah, somebody already said that and I responded that I can't get on the app for my town because it wants to put me in the town behind me, but there is someone I know who lives more in the middle of town (note that my town is approximately 1/10th of a square mile with three streets) who gets the correct NextDoor. I was going to ask her, but she is the one who offered to lend me her son and his friend.
You might have damaged a fingernail. At least you paid for it.
furniture can be bulky and awkward and cause injury. a back injury could put me out of the gym for weeks or months. if i get other people to do it and pay them; i avoid injury and help the economy.
my wife usually helps me with heavy items but if i need a little extra strength; my neighbor will help. we are friends so we have helped each other in such situations.
i have also helped my brother move stuff so if i need to i can call him into action.
Yes, and I thought of NextDoor, but I have a problem with it. I live in a very small town. The people who live behind me are in a different town. When I tried to sign up with Next Door, it insisted on making me part of the other town. I got annoyed, and I ditched it.
That's funny. I got an email from them just yesterday for the town I lived in over a year ago. When I tried to change it to my current location, they said it didn't exist. Also ditched them .
I don't see how one person could possibly get that heavy dryer down by himself, but maybe that's because I can't heavy move stuff!
My son says that dryers aren't very heavy, but washers are a different story. Because the dryer is on top of the washer, you need two people just because it's big.
When I needed a few things taken to the curb for bulk pick-up, I asked the local store owners and managers. They hire (and fire) many part timers to do grunt work. The cute young guy who worked at the local liquor store and his friend moved a couch, mattress and box spring to the curb. It took 15 minutes.
Too bad you and your twin are three thousand miles away!
Naw.. it’s keeps people from asking us to move heavy stuff for them. ( totally kidding)
