Will be moving to Hawthorne NJ this summer from Harrison where I take the path. I will be right off Van Winkle Ave between 7th and 9th ave. I work in midtown and was wondering the best commuting options. I used this forum when I moved to Kearny years ago and it led me to find the Decamp bus service that was extremely helpful. I am looking to get to either Port or 33rd street.
It looks like I can drive (and park?) or walk/bike to the Glen Rock train station (1 mile away) take the train to secaucus and then to 33rd street. Are there any other bus/train options?
How far are you from the Hawthorne train station? I ask because I lived there briefly and it was super cheap for Hawthorne residents to park at the train. Not sure about the cost at GR.
3 min drive to glen rock and it 6 min drive to hawthorne, yes i read up on NJ transit for glen rock and saw the discrepancy between resident and non resident payment for parking, so it might be worth traveling to hawthorne for the resident discount. i did some light research and saw the parking lot is supposedly small? was it easy for you to park?

You could park on the streets near the station as long as you had your permit.
