i want to go from newark penn to grove st station in jersey city via PATH. im wondering how easy it is to navigate newark penn as well as in general using PATH. (first timer)
At Nwk Penn, PATH trains depart from Track 1 most of the time. However, they do leave from Platform H (near the McDonalds) every now and then. You can pay with a NYC non-monthly metrocard or purchase a ride from the machine (which there is normally a line). If you become a feequent PATH rider, it is better to get a Smartlink Card, (which you can fill up online at a discounted price).

Yes, good point. They seem to do that on off-rush hours more. But when they do, there will be a big sign with an arrow and then more big signs and arrows pointing you to Track H in the terminal.
