Very easy. Look for the sign that says PATH.

Make sure you have a MetroCard or PATH SmartCard -- machines are there to buy them if you don't.

Ride is Newark > Harrison > Journal Square > Grove Street. About 20 minutes, give or take.

Newark to Grove should only be 15 minutes

At Nwk Penn, PATH trains depart from Track 1 most of the time. However, they do leave from Platform H (near the McDonalds) every now and then. You can pay with a NYC non-monthly metrocard or purchase a ride from the machine (which there is normally a line). If you become a feequent PATH rider, it is better to get a Smartlink Card, (which you can fill up online at a discounted price).

Yes, good point. They seem to do that on off-rush hours more. But when they do, there will be a big sign with an arrow and then more big signs and arrows pointing you to Track H in the terminal.

Also good advice about the Smartlink Card.
