Somebody must have liked him. He went into his second election with a 70% approval rating.

Talk about really blowing it.

I realize you have to have a rather large ego to go for higher elected offices but his really did him in.

Nobody to blame but himself.

His opponent in his second campaign--Barbara Buono--was not a... "strong"... candidate.

He still had a lot of post-Sandy sympathy in 2013.

... and yet, about 1/3 of our state's residents can't even provide the name of our current Chief Executive.
If he had truly devastated our state, shouldn't more people be aware of very basic facts, such as his NAME?

False promises to voters to persuade people to vote for them. All politicians do it. Did you hear all the promises last night by the candidates if you vote for them.

For all his faults, Christy DID get property taxes under control, and to me, that makes it all worth it. We went from a 7% rise per year under Corzine, to a 2% rise under Christy. 7% was unsustainable. I know that some people who don’t like Christy, come up with anecdotal stories about how their property taxes went up a lot, but the evidence doesn’t bear that out for the vast majority of people. A simple google search will show, even the most liberal of publications, confirm this.

Former Gov. Chris Christie’s administration drastically curtailed increases in property taxes through a 2 percent cap on local spending. Prior to that cap, property taxes were rising 7 percent a year, on average.

I don't like him because he raped NJ transit.

That is reasonable. We all have different issues that matter to us. That is why we vote in the first place.

To the people who voted for him, property taxes were more important than NJ transit issues.
