I don’t remember how I discovered it, but I just returned from my second trip to Dutch Country Farmer’s Market in Flemington, and all I can say is what an amazing place! It’s an hour ride for me, but so worth it!

They have different areas/booths, each focusing on one specialty... donuts/baked goods, meats, hot foods, cheese, produce, etc. You pay individually at each area (supposedly the stalls are different vendors, but I’m wondering if they’re all from the same “family”). Prices for most items are surprisingly reasonable, and the quality of most items is excellent.

There is another Amish market in Kingston/Princeton (Pennsylvania Dutch Farmer’s Market) that appears to be nearly identical, with many of the same offerings and vendors as the market in Flemington. I’d like to check this one out too, but it may be a touch too far for me.

Are there any other markets like this in NJ? I know PA has the giant Amish Shady Maple Smorgasbord and Market which is a bucket list trip for me and a bunch of other smaller places, but any more in Joisey?

These markets may be one of the best kept secrets in the state!

P.S. Why do we still have traffic circles? The circles in Flemington and Raritan are enough to stop your heart.

Oddly enough we've never been to this one despite living about 20 minutes away. There is a great Amish market (only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday) at Columbus Farmers Market in Burlington County that we've been to many times:

The Flemington Circle is much better than it was since NJDOT realigned it about two years ago.

No idea. I've been to the one at Columbus Farmers Market a few times. It was OK, but I wouldn't go if I didn't have something else to do in the area.
