Hi everybody .. can anybody help me?? I was laid off a month ago i applied for unemployment benefits and my employer approved them . A week past and received a monetary call the person needed my paystubs, w-2 , tax returns etc i faxed everything they received it . I havent received any letters from dept of labor with the status of my application when i call they said the company doesnt appear in their system and that they cant find any wages under my name . Meanwhile my old company sent me the proof of ADP paying my UI to the state . Now i was getting paid under the name of 2 companies ( half of the year in one and half of the year in the other one not sure why but its all the same company ) but they both had ID number with dept of labor . I have proof of everything my employer approved my benefit but still dont have an answer from Dept of labor . They blame my old company and my old company blame them . Meanwhile it has been a month no money and going crazy nobody seem to help me even with all the documentation . Can i think its the comany fault for not double check with dept of labor if everything with right when reporting or should i blame dept of labor for maybe missing a code or something . What should i do ??? Dept of labor is no help either on the phone or in person cant get help from anybody
