well i've only lived in Ft Lee (99-01). its a very clean town. surrounds and revolves around the GW Bridge. big asian population (not sure if Bergenfield is too). good restaurants. not much shopping on main street except for Benetton but that selection was limited & not sure if its even there anymore i had no complaints. except for the bridge traffic. Cops are nazis....

Bergenfield also has a large asian population but they are indians, pinoys, etc.

I like fort lee better because it is closer to NYC, and highway, and cuz I grew up there

Bergenfield has a nice downtown with stuff to do like movies, bars, sushi

You cannot go wrong with either

fort lee. schools are better, very easy access into city, better restaurants/eateries.
