Every morning I watch the news and hear about NJ Transit delays all over the place. So glad I work from home. I don't know how people endure the NYC commute.

Ha, that's my line. I am mostly retired, though, so I only use it a couple of times a month now, and usually not at that time.

I didn't think the NJCL was bad when I used it full-time for about five or six years.

So predictable, Nj named #1 on lists of the worst places.

Thank Nj voters for their chronically poor ballot choices that spell disaster for the rest of the state's taxpayers.

Used to watch the men stumbling off the bar car in Red Bank, wives waiting to pick them up.

I thank my lucky stars I don't have to commute into the city for work everyday. The city is strictly for entertainment and pleasure in our household.

That had to be a looong time ago. I don't remember them having a bar car in my commuting days.

We did used to have a smoking car, though.

In NJ, "bar cars" disappeared by the early '80s.

Sounds about right. I started working in the city in January, 1979. Drove in or took a bus the first three years, and only when I was transferred to the WTC did I start taking trains.
