I need to be refreshed on what a stereotypical Jersey girl or NJ suburban mom looks like. I know what a Long Island mom looks like, so what does a Jersey girl/NJ suburban mom look like? My thoughts about this is making me laugh all day.
In my opinion:
1. Black haired
2. Spray tanned
3. Wears hoop earrings
4. Is a hooker (who hangs by Jersey Shore a lot)
5. Has a gorgeous Italian face
The idea all started with a rental house in Belmar in the early 80's and they were all from Long Island. The Police raided the house becuase neighbors were complaining about kids at all times of the night pissing on yards and passing out on porches and such.The Mayor got in trouble calling them a bunch of quido's from long Island and got into trouble. One of the kids was one of the creators of the show , another interesting tidbit was almost all the Seaside towns turned down the show being filmed in their town.Belmar ,Manasquan and Point Pleasant all said no.

Because NY shore isn’t as good a title as Jersey Shore. They also needed the nightlife that catered to young people and needed that nightlife to be walkable from the house. And the town to agree.

No he is right , it was my mistake they were from Staten Island.
I have lived in NJ for almost 25 years and I don't recall ever meeting anyone with a spray tan. I don't spend much time at the shore, so maybe that is only a Jersey shore phenomena.

Jersey Shore night life never that great unless you mean house parties which mean you need to know someone. But still why come to NJ shore just for house parties.
Plus you have Manhattan inbetween. So you go to beach on Long Island, and take train to Manhattan. Or you live in Manhattan, and then take train and bus to and from LI Beaches.
North Jersey, girls look either Italian, Irish, Jewish or mix of the 3. Throw in some asian and hispanic girls. Some look like waspy white women after some plastic surgery.
