Going to give South Jersey a shout out since we are typically ignored in the surveys (at least in New Jersey magazine) and say Graziano’s in Atco. Looks like a hole in the wall, but great food and friendly people. My son ate dinner there a couple of weeks ago and said that the food was fantastic. He dines in Philadelphia at least once a month, so it's not that he doesn't appreciate good food. His boss chose the place.

Restaurant Seranade, in Chatham has always been a personal favorite. I would call this #1.

Faubourg Restaurant and Bar in Montclair, gives it a run for it’s money.

David Burke at Orange Lawn is really good too.

Jockey Hollow Bar and Kitchen.
