Thank you all! Which towns go direct to hoboken is there a list somewhere?
kosb-I will check out East Brunswick I am not against taking a bus! Thank you!

Go to njyransit.com all lines other than NE Corridor, Raritan Valley Line and NJ Coastline goes to Hoboken. Some of the best commuter town in the same level as Metro Park would be Summit, Montclair but they are pricier compared to North Edison for obvious reason.

Just keep in mind that if you take a bus you will be subject to the same traffic problems that drivers have to deal with. If there is bad weather or an accident on the Turnpike you will be stuck in that. 2 weeks ago there was a tanker crash that closed the Turnpike and caused a 23-mile backup during the height of the morning rush. I would hate to have been sitting on a bus that whole time.
