Hi all,

I am looking to purchase a condo property in Long Branch - preferably West End section, 1-2 blocks from the beach.

Hi Shil,
There are several available, but you need to narrow it down some. What's your price point?

Default Looking for a house at North Jersey shore

I am looking to buy a large house by water maybe in Long Branch. My kids have grown and left for good. So I want to sell the house I am in and buy a house by the ocean. That way I know when my boys marry my future daughter in law will bring the grandchildren to visit and stay with me... I heard Long Branch has/had alot of history and may be a good investment right now?? I am open to other suggestions as well especially for all year round residents as I do not know this area of the NJ shore. We always went to the south jersey shore but I want to be close to NY. Thank you

Long Branch is a town that has a lot going on housing wise, there are sections that are absolute ghettos to sections with multi million dollar homes, get specific, what is large? what is your price range?
if you are serious about buying in the area DM me, I am selling a waterfront house in the area

Long branch is no dofferent then anyehere else they have their good and bad areas? NO GHETTOS....so look around....look at what you want ,as I have said before the opinions on this board are varied and I would'nt take anyone's word only...........just your own. Some people will only get personel gain so you need to look around for yourself and find a good agent ...that you feel comfortable with .

I did the Long Branch Half Marathon and can tell you there are beautiful parts of Long Branch and not so beautiful. I would recommend to walk around the town, see if this is what you are looking for. You need to have a 'feel' IMO of where you want to move.

Did they ever rebuild the pier that burned down (i.e. waterpark)? I haven't been there since HS. I would think that since LB is on the ocean and since got the expanded direct train service to NYC that "gentrification" would have made it a gem.

I believe that you had emailed me a while back asking if I was selling a condo in West long Branch. At the time my parents were thinking of renting it out instead; however, they now feel that they would sell it. If you are still looking in the West Long Branch area send me an email as to where I can send pictures.
