Can you name me a single instance in which a person of color, who was a victim of violence by law enforcement, or any other entity, irrespective of circumstance, where Al Sharpton did not show up within 24 hours? Even when the case was highly questionable, such as was the circumstance with the Duke lacrosse team, and that scumbag DA, Mike Nifong?
I can name many, many instances, hell in my own backyard. but those of you who sit on the internet and watch tv all day only see what is there......
Al Sharpton is not the spokesperson for the black race or any minority race.
But that aside, I've seen your comments in the other forums, and when i'm in a forum with self-proclaimed yankees and warriors who wrote something like this" I think in general, the black population has victimized itself by voting as a 90% block for the Democrat party, which effectively marginalizes their voice in the political arena." then you don't even get the privilege of having any dialect with me because your mindset is in one place with the notion that someone gave you a pass with the words "i think I know it all" written all over it. . . . = = = in other words, i'm leaving this alone.
p.s. just as a side note to your quote in the other forum.....not all black people are democrats.
Well the one officer, Oliver, is Lebanese, some don't consider that white either.
If you are of that thinking then all 3 were men of color
Meh, if you're American enough to have Oliver as your last name, I'd definitely consider him White. I'm of full Lebanese descent and I'm considered White by everyone I know.
This may or may not be an injustice. Let's hope nobody does anything stupid (riot) though.

Wow so because Mike chooses Warrior and I choose Yankee as the description under our screen names that makes us bad people!!
Your comment precipitated all of this
definitely in your opinion.
we know who makes up the majority of this forum anyhow so its expected.
That is my opinion..the press did all but try & convict the one officer in the papers because most of those daily Rags in NY try so hard to be PC they border on ridiculous
First of all detective Micheal Oliver is of haitian descent not lebanese!
I am haitian and disagree with his actions.
Second, what's wrong with people hating on Al Sharpton? Minorities have a right to be defended, helped or redirected by him...who else will? Especially when our rights are violated.
Third, this case is not a case about color, it's about police officers using excessive force. If you did not grow up in an area where things like that happen on a regular basis...you will agree with the verdict...
keep in mind...no weapons were ever found, but yet 50 shots were fired! and that's not excessive? It's excessive when it happens to your family!
That's Michael Oliver. He looks very Mediterranean/Lebanese to me. I'm from the region. I know that's how my people look like. He certainly is not Haitian.

He is a very good looking man
From the Daily News....the man is of Lebanese decent not Haitian
While the victims are all black, race didn't figured as prominently in the case because Cooper is also black, Isnora is half-black, and Oliver is of Lebanese descent.
olivier is a french-haitian last name...I am haitian and my entire family looks like him...do an internet seach with his name and haitian attached to it...then we'll talk!

wake up people...
EXACTLY - - -so for people to comment, I had faith in Judge Cooperman to get to the truth and render his verdict accordingly - I don't think so. It was what it was - 50 shots.
But the verdict stands. Let them live. Let the cops live, let the families live. let Sean Bell rest in peace - - Oh and let OJ live too. It's over.
