My alimony ends next month, my question is it is taken right out of my check, do I have to contact anyone or will it automatically stop? Connecticut

This is something that could vary from state to state.
I think that the OP should post his question in a CT forum, rather than in an NJ forum.

Isn't this something that your divorce attorney would be able to answer?

It's going to end up being a lot more expensive when your wage garnishment doesn't shut off.

You really should contact the state and be prepared to provide all of your documentation that it's supposed to end because when my son turned 18 the child support did not stop; even though I had nothing to do with that, I was made to pay it back.

I'll be shocked if yours will just stop without you making contact. You should have done that about 3 months ago. Now you're probably screwed with everything closed down because of the virus.

Still not sure why the OP chose the Jersey forum to post this in if Connecticut is the state in which the issue is.
