Smile monmouth county

i remembering someone commenting that monmouth county wasn't the 'real' jersey shore. so, if you want peninsular living of any sort, it's better to look in ocean county and southward. that said, monmouth county has the nj transit train and bus lines that change in newark's penn station and go right into manhattan. long branch, a former wasteland as was asbury park, are now completely middle classed on their oceanfronts and far more affordable than ocean counties bay head, lavalette, and point pleasant. the traffic, though, has grown horrific in a south florida type of way, 12 months a year. there are more low-keyed towns such as oceanport, tinton falls, freehold, red bank, and little silver. little silver and rumson are costly, elite new york city suburbs. deal, right on the oceanfront, is also the playground of elitists. west of the garden state parkway caters to modest folk looking for a damn good deal. although driving around to get anywhere waiting at menacing round-abouts and drawn-out red lights make motorists really tense and aggressive and the fact that it can be quite a hall from new york city, if you want a quasi-florida lifestyle without having to leave the nyc metro area, this may be your choice, especially since it doen't really get cold until the middle of november and the warmth returns in early april or so. plus, the public school systems are pretty admirable, indeed.

Correction: You don't have to change at Penn Station Newark to go into Manhattan on the North Jersey Coast Line serving Monmouth County if you are going to Midtown because the train goes to Penn Station New York.

If you want to go to LOWER Manhattan, you do have to change to the PATH train at Penn Newark OR you can take one of the few trains that go to Hoboken and take the PATH from there.
