Yes we have a train station which is on the North East corridor which is a direct (no transfers) into NyC. You would also be close to MetroPark in Iselin.

I also recommend Metuchen. It's a great town. However, I think there train station needs alot of work. Considering how nice the town is, why is the train station so unattractive? I'd also look into Hillsborough, Piscataway, and Monroe. These are good towns too.
