I also recommend Metuchen. It's a great town. However, I think there train station needs alot of work. Considering how nice the town is, why is the train station so unattractive? I'd also look into Hillsborough, Piscataway, and Monroe. These are good towns too.

If you go to Old Bridge I recommend Glenwood Apartments. We lived there for 7 years. Very quiet, safe, nice apartments.
