Thanks so much for sharing. What this brings to light is the hundreds of homeowners who rely on rental income to afford our mortgages, water bills, ever-increasing property taxes. We have no relief from any current programs, the SALT deduction caps 10k of property tax when multi-fam homes can be upwards of 20k now.. my mortgage provider told me that yes they can put me in forebearance but all interest STILL adds up and will be due in 90 days so whats the point? We are screwed either way.
Its incredibly frustrating to basically be supporting a family because he wants to be a deadbeat. This man is working and because he is "looking", has decided he wont pay rent anyways. Its really infuriating to say the least.
I'd stop going and stop sending correspondence until you speak with and retain an attorney. You should retain one ASAP. You've already done enough. Let the attorney take over and advise you.
