It won't as NJ is a "Freak-Out Murphy Police State".

If it helps better identify cars involved in crimes, then no. We should keep the front plates.

The front plate is only useful for police to scan your plate from adjacent when they run car theft checks
.

I agree.....AND it also allows them to "see" you better, when they're doing radar speed checks.

I too would like to know... I've always wondered... PA as far as I know doesn't require front license plates.

I think everybody should have front license plates by law, because it is important to identify a driver from the front, not u-turn and chase them just to look at the back of their car. To me, it doesn't make sense to take off the front plate. I stare at the front plates all the time when I see familiar cars, so I can see if the driver is somebody I know.

There are 19 states that don't require the front license plate, so there should be plenty of data out there as to whether it leads to an increased risk of...well...whatever the front plate proponents say we are at increased risk for.

In the meantime, my current, and a couple of my former cars did not come with front plate brackets. If the car doesn't come with a front plate bracket it is likely because the car was not made to have a front plate. I have seen people with the same car as me, with aftermarket front brackets and plates, and I think it ruins the look of the car. Even more so on the sports cars that don't come with front plate brackets.

With my cars in the past, and my current one, I always just figured that whatever the ticket costs is worth not putting the plate on. Just one more expense added to the list of expenses that come with driving a nice car. But the thing is, and I don't want to jinx myself here, in those 3 cars, totaling almost 10 years of driving, I have never gotten a ticket for it. Maybe I have just been lucky. Maybe cops only give those tickets to people that act like jerks. I don't know, but I do know, it is not a high priority.

The other problem is that car inspection stickers should be removed from windshields and placed on the license plate. When you need to replace your cracked windshield it has to be carefully removed and moved to the new one.

You can't put it on the license plate, how would you keep the sticker dry? You place your registration and inspection stickers on the inside of the windshield...
