This song by radiohead for some reason gives me hope that here in NJ there's hope to end the madness of everyday living in nj, the talk of long commutes, gas prices, oil heat prices, property tax, toll hikes, corzine. Optimistic that all this shall pass.

YouTube - optimistic : radiohead

I love Radiohead. I just moved to NJ late last year and our timing with all the madness you mention is not ideal and makes the move a big adjustment for us. But I am hopeful that when we come out of it I will be glad I moved here and so I have no choice but to be optimistic. Thanks for posting this!

please. there's no room for optimism on this board full of complainers. it's been elevated here to an art form. how dare you try to make people see the big picture and how we should be thankful for what we have - good food, clean water, shelter, jobs. you should be banned.

love radiohead as well, today I find myself in a more somber and reflective mood. Thinking ahead to make the changes necessary in order not to go postal and resist the feeling of flight from jersey. I choose to be like Lou Gehrig "Today, I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth". I love jersey even with all it's taxes, budget problems and price of gas.
