Hi all,

I'm a single man in his late-20s. I'm currently living in central NJ, but looking to buy an apartment and move closer to NYC within NJ. I know how infamous Newark is, but it seems like the city's improving. I came across a listing from a gated community called Community Hills in Springfield/Belmont, and the apartment seemed nice as well as the vicinity. But does anyone know anything about this place? Is it truly safer than the rest of the neighborhood? How is Springfield/Belmont in general? I've read that it is quite dangerous those posts are from 2013 or so. And I see there are new buildings, so I wonder it's currently going through gentrification.

Thanks!
