They don't taste like eggplant, but they do have an interesting (yet tasty) taste/texture.

I tried my first fried green tomato about a week ago.

I think authentic southern food restaurants are hard to find in New Jersey because this area of the country is healthier than the south. They wouldn't make that much business. I, however, would go! Just run on the treadmill for an hour afterwards and you'll be fine.

But if you have heart disease (or if its runs in your family) stay away!

Here in FLorida our local Micky D's gave out (free) all day, those Southern style chicken sandwiches, they tasted like their fish fillet sand. the breading was yuck, and at $2.65 I won't be buying them, LOL, the local kids were lined up around the street getting their "free" sandwiches.

Their "sweet" ice tea is just that very "sweet" tastes like a ton of sugar in there. yuck.

Ya all, need to eat Chic-fil-A, now thats a wonderful chicken sandwich, and the fries are to die for, with seniors getting "free" drinks, its a nice lunch for two under $10.00.

I'm 5'11'' and I also weigh 150 lbs. I eat everything my heart desires! As a matter of fact, I had a Fat Darrell yesterday! My friend and I went after a study session. We got Fat Darrells and cheese fries. Then we went to Baskin Robins and got ice cream for 31 cents (they were having a promotional sale last night). Since I'm only 21, hopefully I'll keep my metabolism forever. (fingers crossed!)

Agreed, Chik-Fil-A is about the best around here for a fast food chicken sandwich.
