Not accurate. Covid could've killed a lot more had the infected didn't seek help. It's not like a flu where you can just lay down for 2 weeks and get over it without doing much. If the infected all stayed in and didn't seek medical help the deathrate would be close to 4-6%. It is currently around 2.5% deathrate not 1% And the deathrate is much higher for people with underlying conditions like around 14% for people who are obese. Then it is 20% for people who are over 70 yrs old.

So don't be a denier. Wait til you get covid and see if you need help or not.

Even if it is 2.5%, that is an extremely low number! Just like if they say there is a 2.5% chance of rain today....barely a chance! But if you take the entire population's chance of dying from COVID (whether they get it or not), that percentage is less than 1% by doing simple Math.

Vision, just about everyone will either get COVID eventually or already had it. Many people already had it and didn't even know it. But in the entire scope of the population, very FEW die from it.

That's never been contested. The point is, as it has always been, that it's bad enough that it can and does overrun the hospital facilities. Not to mention that those "very few" are still almost 400K people. So far.

4 to 6%? Like that number wasn't completely made up. That would imply that 5% of the people with Covid get hospitalized. They don't.

Doomer fiction.

This is the latest paper the CDC cites on the subject. Infection fatality rate is estimated at considerably less than 1%; age-specific IFR doesn't reach 1% until age 65. It is not near 20% for any measured age group, though they did find ~20% for a French nursing home population.

woohoo!!!!! i like to play the song "shots" by lmfao when i want to go nuts in the car. i got the radio version so i can play it with my kids in the car.

i dont think we have anything big this weekend, maybe just a couple of get togethers with a family or two at a time. but its good to know that a hospital bed is waiting for me if i need it!!!

new years i did the dirty dancing lift on my 10 year old daughter. she is about 50 pounds. my wife wanted me to do her next, i said no. my sciatica has kept me out of the gym and with some lower back and leg issues. but if i do try it, its good to know there is hospital capacity since ill likely need it!
