My jaw hit the floor when I saw that up in NJ on Wednesday. I haven't really been paying that much attention to the prices since I quit around 2 years ago, but I didn't realize they had gotten that crazy up there- when I quit they were right around $5/pack. Marlboros and the other premium brands hover right around $3/pack down here, and the generics sometimes dip down close to $2, so if you'd like, I'll buy cartons and ship them up to you for the low, low price of only $6/pack.......

I tend to buy the more expensive microbrews which run around 8 to 9/six. The other day, I went to the counter with a new brand...figured I would try it...handed the guy a tenner...he said "that'll be $12.49"...huh???? I had to go to the car for some more dough! How do alkies handle this? Looks like the homeless on the street of NYC will be looking for a raise!!!

For a 6 pack . Time to start using 2 and 1 shampoo/conditioner and generic brand soap so I can still afford beer

Or just stop showering altogether- that's what the real hard-core alkies do to fund their addictions.....lol.

LOL...too funny! Dollar store's lookin' pretty good this week! I just got our health Ins. Rate Notification today...$424.72/single! I pay the full wack for my people... may be time to let them go and take on a few illegals! See now why some contractors have no choice but to hire illegals! Forget married guys/galls with Kids.... no one will hire you if they include bennies!!! It's out of control folks!

I am pretty sure they are still easily in the low 2 dollar range at JB's on I95 in NC. Let's see, 50 dollars more per carton. You might be able to justify a road trip to NC just for the purpose of buying cigarettes.

I am not sure if you can make beer for cheaper than you can buy it?

You can certainly make pizza and bread for much cheaper than you can buy it.

Who chicken out : ) We found this old farm house built in the 1700's on 20 acres with a barn that we have our eye on...300K! Yes, it's in NJ...so not only will we get Historical tax rating...farm assessment as well! I'm starting a home brew and tobacco farm! Plus I can rent the barn out to some horse lovers... I'll be sitting pretty...rakin' in the dough! : ))) Is pot legal yet? Hummm... perhaps a nice medicinal pot farm as well!
